Picking up an object from the ground is one of the most common everyday movements (next to standing and sitting).  Use the Wide Stance Deadlift to practice the mechanics for safe lifting & lowering, while strengthening your core (stomach & back), and arms.  

  • Object directly under the body and between the feet; belly tight
  • Keep back flat, reach hips back and bow over the object to grab it; keep knees in-line with the feet
  • Stand by simultaneously pulling hips back and raising chest; keep back flat
  • Don't let your knees shoot forward at any time during the movement
