All Thrust, All Vector - The Power Snatch

The Snatch is one of the two Olympic lifts.  Adding the word "Power" means you will not squat during the Snatch.  The Power Snatch demands speed, explosive power, flexibility, and coordination -- and it’s one of our favorite exercises.  When added to a conditioning workout, it's a potent test of stamina.

  • Start with light weight
  • Maintain flat back and knees aligned with feet
  • Keep your arm straight and feet flat until completing your jump (don't come to your toes early)
  • Receive the weight with your arm straight (don’t press it out) 
  • Ensure your feet are flat and your hips are back when you receive the weight
